Childhood Gaming Destruction
Children and Teenager are constantly being influenced by the media. The most notable comes in the form of video games. Before the era of video games, children would play football, basketball, rugby, etc. outside. Hardly did a child not run everyday and play for hours. Then a phenomenon occurred, games that could be played on screens appeared and of course children were intrigued. Over the last 60 years this started to influence generations more and more. After a slow start of video games they managed to establish a firm place in our lives in the last 10 years. The effects have been noticeable.
Generation after generation play more in front of the television then outside. This effects children both physically and psychologically in a negative form. Physically children cannot develop muscle motor neurone functions, disabling them from being able to do simple things such as standing on one leg. Furthermore they are unfit and destined to easily become obese. Psychologically they aren't able to experience team skills, empathy and mental strength. We can observe more children playing sports online rather than outside. Team sports aid a child develop in these skills and I am unsure what the long term effects will be for these children. How will these children cope with their lives once outside of their homes?
What is your opinion?
What do you think will happen to children that aren't able to fully develop?

Torture - Should we allow it?
Torture has been used as an interrogation technique for centuries to force information out of people. This post will focus on the psychological forms of torture such as water-boarding and sleep deprivation. These forms do not injure someone physically, but terrorise their minds.
Imagine the scenario of a child abductor who was filmed kidnapping a young girl and has now been arrested by the police. The police are aware that the child abductor knows more to the whereabouts of the child, as he is not cooperating with the police.
Should we be allowed to use psychological forms of torture to get this information, as the kidnapped child may die otherwise?
I believe yes, as the child is the victim and therefore shouldn't suffer any longer than it has to and possibly die if the abductor doesn't release information. The child abductor has done the wrong act, and therefore should be eligible to wrongs himself.
What are your thoughts? Should we allow torture in these cases? Do we compromise our integrity if we allow it? If we do allow it, do we fall to the same level as the child abductor himself?

What is behind our behavior when we visit social networks such as Twitter and Facebook daily on a regular basis?
Currently people are constantly checking their Facebook and other social network accounts, thus including it in their everyday life. The main reason that I have concluded as to why these social networks have integrated into ordinary life are: the need to be noticed, i.e. not being able to handle only their surrounding and themselves. Not being able to cope with just yourself is a common theme that will often come up in this blog as every generation is given more and more distractions that don't allow them to develop. Being noticed and distracted prohibits this for individuals as they can live an alternate life, when their actual life becomes to real. High popularity allows them to be constantly engaged with some activity, and not with themselves.
